This is week three of our slow read of The Zahir and I want to focus on the repeated reference to The Voice - the invisible character that plays a significant role in the life of the narrator of the story and in the mind of Mikhail. (See last week’s post for more on Mikhail) I will also revisit the role of the Virgin Mary as the feminine face of God in the novel.
